Question about adding RAM onto my computer which is already?
six years old. My kids use it as does my husband. All it is used for is games and stuff like that. It runs soooo super slow and I was told it would run better if I add RAM to it. Will this work for it if it is in other wise good condition? If not , what should I do to it in order to get it running faster? I don't see the point in tossing it when it looks good still and is in good condition other than slow.Thanks for your help asking here because I already posted in another comp category and need more detailed information pretty please.By the way it is a desk top if that matters.
Why does my computer keep detecting my router as a new one?
Everyday my computer that my router is connected to detects my Linksys WRT54G router as a new one and I have to reconfigure it. Also when I configure the router it never detects internet from my modem. When I configure it the internet works but when I try to configure it, it just acts as though I have no internet at all. Do I need a new router since its like 3 years old now?

Questions about mac computer- charger problems!? HELP!?
Ok so i've had my computer for 3 years and its the macbook and all of the sudden the charger stopped working. It used to light up when it was charging and now it doesnt light up unless i move the cord around a little. and the little rectangle thing you plug into the computer gets really HOT really fast. It never used to do that. and NOW it just wont charge at ALL Help i only have 20 % battery and its not charging please help

Ok, I took my mouse apart to clean it. When I took it apart, I accidentally took out the scroller. Now I have it all set up, except I can't find a place for a small metal wire. It's squarish at one end, and circular at another. My computer is a dell, can anyone help?

Help me find a computer that can run TOR effectively?
Alright heres the deal, want to get a new computer, mainly for games..and some for school i guess. lol. Anyhow, i want a high end computer that will be able to effectively run TOR for when it comes out. i know building one would be cheaper, but i dont know how to do so and im really not interested in figuring that out right now, so im willing to buy a prebuilt one that i can upgrade specific parts for later if i need to.Im willing to spend around $800'ish, if anyone has a link to something that meets the criteria id love it if you could share and maybe a bit of info thanks.
Computer doesnt go to sleep?
so i usually download torrent files and when i leave my computer for couple hours, the monitor will be off, but my desktop is still on. I set my power option in my power plan setting so that my computer will sleep in like 30 minutes but it doesnt do that...is it because of the torrent program that stops the computer from sleeping?

My Computer cant recognize my CD Drives?
My computer cannot detect my CD drive and it wont open the tray when I press the button to open it on the side. The blue light isnt coming on and it cannot read any of the CDs that I put into the tray through the manual paperclip way. When I check my computer, it only shows for removable disks a Memorystick E and SmartMedia F . The MemoryStick tells me " please insert a disk into MemoryStick E " when I try to open it while SmartMedia asks me to reformat it which Im hesitant to do because Im not sure what it does and it tell me it'll erase everything on the thing... which idk if its important or not.I'm using a Windows Vista HP Pavilion dv6000 with AMD Turion Processor. I've already tried to use Microsoft Support's Fixit and I've checked the Registry for the Upper and Lower Filters. Microsoft had me download another Driver I think but it still didn't fix the problem. Please Help
